Aeon Advancement

The regular meeting of Aeon Mark No.1312 was held a Wellington Park, Leyland on Thursday the 18th February 2016. The main business of the evening was to Advance Jim Wynne, a Past Master of Tarleton Craft Lodge, who now meet at Park Hall, Charnock Richard.
Sadly, the WM Roy Heys was struck down with a throat infection on the day, and at very short notice the IPM, Bill Bruce, was dusted off, and given the gavel.
Acting WM Bill Bruce, greets our new Mark Master Mason Jim Wynne, whilst Bill Cordiner looks on

After the normal business was discharged the Candidate was admitted and conducted through the ceremony by a capable Lodge Senior Deacon Chris Cooper, assisted of course by an ever attentive Junior Deacon Terry Ward.
Jim thanks Bill for his work during the ceremony

The overseers, Gordon McKay, Jim Withnell and Arthur Walmsley, were their usual helpful selves, and Jim soon found himself in a bit of a pickle with Dave Winder and Dave Stewart the Wardens!

All was not lost, the Master persisted, and after a bit of searching we were back on track.
Chirs Wild, (Tools), Doug Little, (Organ), Chris Cooper, (Senior Deacon),
Bill Bruce, (Master), Henry Mayor and John Waring, (G. Stewards),
Dave Winder, (Senior Warden), Jim Wynne, (Candidate), Colin Mills, (Dep. Prov. G. Secretary)
David Stewart, (Junior Warden), Stewart Seddon, (A.D.C.) and Terry Ward, (Junior Deacon)
The Master invited the Chaplain, Bill Cordiner, to do the remainder of the Advancement, which he did in his usual efficient and gentle style.

After a minimum amount of correspondence, we were all soon down to the festive board, which was very enjoyable.

Jim was so impressed by what had happened, he has already booked into another Mark Lodge to watch it all from the side lines.
